Concert Cancellation

Over the weekend, we found out that Kellie Pickler and Chris Young (our opening act for George Jones), cancelled their shows at our fairgrounds. As you may or may not know, Kellie Pickler and Chris Young are opening acts for Rascal Flat’s upcoming Fall Arena tour. While they each had contracts with us, they also had a contract under Rascal Flats. Unfortunately for us, both chose to honor the other contract. We want to assure you that our staff here at the fairgrounds is doing everything possible to keep our fairgoers excited about the 2010 fair. Currently, we’re talking with entertainment agencies to figure out what our options are during the fair.

Our George Jones concert is still going to be very exciting. We’re looking for another opening act. However, if you bought tickets so that you could see Chris Young, we will refund your ticket purchase. But, we encourage you to still attend, what we think will be, a great concert on Thursday.

With such short notice, we still haven’t decided what will replace Saturday’s entertainment. We are currently waiting to hear back from our entertainment agencies. We plan on keeping an exciting line-up for Saturday, and we promise to let you know as soon as we can figure out our schedule.
